Refining.
Connecting who I am with what I make, where I go and what I do enriches my memory, my connection, my story, creating an ocean of detail.
Making garments, travel itineraries and food.
Here, I write about that.
Travel
I love to dream, and plan, and go. I love to shape and tailor itineraries to fit me like a custom-made suit, combining together the pulse of a place, the rhythm of its people, and the quiet corners that don’t make it into guidebooks.
My mantra on travel planning: if you want a plan to work, you have to be willing to improvise.
My best journeys are part strategy, part serendipity — a dance between intention and discovery.
Dressmaking
I dressmake, most often from vintage patterns, chasing just-left-of-centre style and technical precision. My highest ambition is beating the system — crafting couture for a petite frame.
I share what I’ve learned: the triumphs and trials of fabric choice, the puzzle of fit, and the satisfaction of technical finesse.
My reflections are grounded in time spent, wearability tested, and the joy of discovering efficient variation options in each pattern.
Eat
Making to eat can be a daily joy. Where travel feeds my planning soul and dressmaking develops my craftswomanship, cooking and baking are a simpler practise that delivers sustenance.
I make recipes that highlight provenance, swap options, ratio sizing and the reasons behind technique.
Seasonal tastes memory-invoking flavours that return me to a travel location completes the circle. It’s nourishment, yes—but also a quiet ritual of creativity, care, and connection. A way to honour where I’ve been, what I’ve learned, and who I’m feeding.
